This week, we went on a field trip to the Columbia Space Center. We simulated what it would be like to go on a mission to Mars. I was mission control, and my job was to identify minerals and write their properties, so naturally, I was not pleased. But once my group got to go on the spaceship, I was still supposed to identify minerals. However, the robotic arm that I was supposed to be controlling in order to look at the rocks was not functioning properly, so I just got up and helped other people with their stuff. I learned how to properly avoid getting caught doing stuff I'm not supposed to be doing on a field trip. My favorite part of the field trip was when we got to walk around and do whatever we wanted towards the end of the day. There was a giant funnel that you could roll marbles down, which was supposed to represent gravity or something, but people really just wanted to watch marbles roll around. There was a video about a trip to the moon, but all it did was make everyone really tired. I was falling asleep. I don't know what else to write. Help.
