This week we learned about stereotypes. Stereotypes and generalizations made about a certain group of people based on an idea of what a person does. They are very harmful and are often associated with racism. There are good stereotypes also, like all British people are nice, but most stereotypes are not good and perpetuate a bad idea of something.
This week, we learned about communication and descriptive words. There was one person describing a picture, and the other person had to draw it. I didn't do very well. It is difficult to adequately describe a picture to someone who doesn't know how to draw. Communication is a very important skill in life, and if you are good at describing things to people, you will go very far. |
